You are driving the NN Group security strategy implementation and are responsible for delivering the whole product experience and way of working for our colleagues who have a role in implementing and assessing IT security measures. You own the digital security product vision, the security product strategy, and deliver frictionless security customer experience and products. You are the lead of a product domain to offer state-of-the-art security products to our customers and optimally support our business teams to deliver on their strategy and customer value.

As Product Manager Security Consultancy & Assurance you are responsible for NN Group’s Security & Consultancy services and Group IT Security officer support. This responsibility includes defining and enabling the implementation of Information security standards and technical guidelines, providing standardized security and compliance group services and tooling for NN group entities, in close cooperation with key stakeholders like for example the Heads of Engineering, the Security Officers communities, IT Risk management, Corporate Audit Services and the external auditor. What you are going to do

For you the security strategy and (regulatory) requirements and how to translate this into frictionless customer journeys come first, you drive the security strategy and vision into ways of working which ensure embedding security requirements in an effective way in our IT processes. That perfectly fits into our changing environment from a financial service-oriented company to an innovative product-oriented company. Our goal is to build security products and services that our customers love to work with. The product domains are at the forefront to deliver these great digital security products. Within a product domain, these digital security products are designed, build, and maintained to fully support our customers in their strategy and execution. This is where you come in.

With your knowledge and expertise you know how to create value in terms of problems to be solved for customers in a way that is viable for the business. You drive the development, continuously validate with your customers, and offer value every step of the way. Daily:

You lead (by example) multi-disciplinary teams to align on and achieve product vision. You are responsible for determination of the Information security standards in relation to IT Security, reporting on IT Security & Compliance including improvements and validating the effectiveness of the implementation of the technical security measures
You ensure that the product domain is continuously delivering on the (non-)functional requirements for sound IT products (i.e., reliability, security, and compliance). You enable innovation for reducing (manual) compliance effort by automation of controls, optimizing procedures and guidelines while ensuring the required security standards and compliance requirements for external regulators are met
You drive the development and management of our product domain roadmap and align this with other units, customers, experts, and stakeholders. You make sure that the solutions are on par regarding Desirability, Feasability and Viability
You know how to create a space and environment, where people are empowered to build the best products for our customer, creating a safe environment for people to learn and grow and thrive as professionals within an existing work environment
You guide product delivery, quality, and practices within your team, while being responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting on the overall budget for your product domain

At least 10 years of operational experience and knowledge of IT management and IT Security, as well (in Financial sector would be a plus)
Strong communication skills in Dutch and English as well as strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset
You have strong team management skills for retaining and attracting the right skills and building a strong and high performing team
You have strong stakeholder management skills
You are capable to communicate and discuss complex technology and IT security and compliance matters in understandable business terms

As Product Manager, you work with the Enterprise Architect and the Product Domain Architect(s) to build the product roadmap and you rely on the engineering managers to hire the right security specialists and to mentor these specialist to develop the right skills.
