Manager Technology Deals (M&A)
What you are going to do
The M&A Technology team is part of the Delivering Deal Value team (DDV) that supports corporate and private equity firms to identify, quantify and deliver full deal value. The combination of unrivalled industry experience and deal expertise in both the pre- and post-deal phase means that we know what to look for in the target business and how the issues can be addressed. You will work closely together with colleagues that focus on key services like:
- Carve out and divestment support;
- Mergers & Acquisitions Integration;
- Synergy development and review;
- Operational Restructuring and Rapid Value Creation.
In your daily work as a Manager Technology Deals, you support clients in pre- and post-deal M&A projects focusing on key IT aspects. You support clients on both buy side and sell side to quickly form an opinion on the effectiveness of technology. In your daily work you:
- Identify innovation capabilities to support growing business needs (digital, platform, automation, AI and robotics, cloud adoption etc.);
- Give insight into the quality and effectiveness of IT and its contribution to business objectives based on IT Due Diligence. You look into the key opportunities and investment risks for your client.;
- Manage Technology M&A project teams, including management of day-to-day tasks, shaping output, reviewing and delivering quality output. Projects include Due Diligence, Carve Out, Integration and IT synergy or cost saving assessments;
- Proactively lead on business development in collaboration with the Partner and Directors leading the opportunity; this includes active follow-up on opportunities, leading pitch development, identifying key insights;
- Create value and growth opportunities driven by IT and digital enabled performance improvements.
You recognize yourself in the following
We are looking for talented professionals that have a strong background in IT and digital skills, ready for the next step in their career. You are commercially minded and you have good social skills. You also have excellent communication skills in the English language (written and spoken) fluency in another language is a plus. Besides that you can understand, coach and motivate people, deliver advice of board level quality. You have excellent reporting skills, preferably in client facing roles.
Furthermore
- You have at least 4 years of experience in the field of IT, either from an IT consulting firm, Big 4 firm, or relevant corporate IT strategy/transformation roles (i.e. CIO department);
- You have a University degree in business administration, science, engineering or related discipline – demonstrating affinity towards emerging digital technologies and IT topics;
- Deal and M&A IT experience, be that due diligence, carve-out, integration or IT enabled performance improvements.
