Manager Sustainability Reporting (focus CSRD/ISSB)

Sustainability has been high on the agendas of many companies for years. From Climate Change, Biodiversity, Circularity, equal opportunities for people and other human rights issues up to Governance. With the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD),   companies are expected to measure and report on their sustainability performance in a more structured and comprehensive way than ever before. .

Your challenges

• You analyze the impact of sustainability trends on reporting strategy.
• You bring clients' sustainability reporting to the next level.
• You advise companies on their strategic direction regarding reporting and make the connection to our sustainability strategy, and data & tech colleagues to support the roll-out of ESG strategies, IT solutions etc.
• You drive client ready proposals.
• You actively support the business development of this proposition.
• You will manage multiple teams of (sr) consultants in reporting advisory projects simultaneously

This is what you bring

• Your focus and mindset are to make a difference.
• An academic (WO) Master's degree in a relevant field.   
  • Preferably a technical background either in study and/or profession. E.g. engineering, water management, chemistry etc. 
• Minimal 5 years of proven experience in sustainability (reporting) or a background in external financial audit or non-financial information assurance.
• Working knowledge of NFRD, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRI, SASB and/or TCFD. 
• Fluency in English (both written and verbally).
• Proficient level Dutch (both written and verbally) 
• Excellent advisory skills.
• Both substantively and commercially strong
• Strong project management and prioritization skills.
• Ambitious to make impact with strategic advice to clients.

What will you do in this position?

As a Manager within the KPMG Sustainability Reporting & Assurance team, you will find yourself at the forefront of sustainability reporting, collaborating with a diverse range of top-tier national and international clients alongside a team of dedicated ESG professionals. Along with your team you will work on those projects, assuring the company’s information on several environmental and social topics. 

Our clients need to improve their non-financial reporting to full-scale strategic sustainability integration while complying with new EU regulations for sustainability reporting (CSRD/EU taxonomy). Decarbonization, more transparency in the supply chain or adopting more circular business practices are common themes in a sustainability strategy.

Following a comprehensive onboarding process, you will integrate into our network, actively contributing to the realization of our clients' ambitions worldwide. Besides working on client projects, you will work on thought leadership, receive training on personal development and content knowledge and experience all social benefits that come with being in a fast-paced KPMG department.

As a manager, you manage and lead multiple project teams who perform sustainability reporting. Your focus is on maintaining and expanding client relations. You are the direct contact for our clients and, together with more senior colleagues, responsible for the adequate execution of sustainability reporting assignments. In your role you coach your team and support colleagues in their development. Internally, you manage several(Senior) Consultants who perform the execution of the fieldwork. You support your team and colleagues in their personal development. You will have every opportunity to further develop your leadership skills, gain experience and grow to a more senior level.
