Engineer for Regulatory reporting
The Hague, you will work with cutting-edge data integration and compliance for financial reporting and ESG at one of the largest financial institutions in the Netherlands. Here, you will be uniquely positioned to lead important changes at NN, which aims to become a leading digital retail bank.
But it won’t be all hard work and no play. In fact, we’re famous for our work-life balance, and you’ll enjoy plenty of freedom in your role, with all the perks of hybrid working.
What you are going to do
You will be key in optimising regulatory reporting processes and ensuring seamless data integration within our systems. In this role, you’ll manage data flows, analyse report accuracy and oversee the security of our applications. Other responsibilities include:
- Integrating OneSumX with data sources: facilitating new, modified and existing reports in OneSumX by translating business requirements into technical modifications and coordinating with the Data Lake/Data Factory team for smooth data flow.
- Analysing reports (e.g. FINREP and COREP) generated by OneSumX and identifying root causes if outcomes don’t meet expectations.
- Conducting impact analysis on new OneSumX releases and coordinating required adjustments with NN’s internal data providers.
- Managing DTAP (Development, Testing, Acceptance, Production) for data translation from DataMart to OSX.
- Executing Security Operations tasks to ensure that processes and applications are securely managed and in control.

- 27 vacation days (based on a 5-day working week) and one Diversity Day
- A modern pension administered by BeFrank
- Plenty of training and learning opportunities
- NS Business Card 2nd class, which gives you unlimited travel, also privately. If you prefer to travel with your own transport, you can declare the kilometres
- Allowances for setting up your home office and for internet use
Who you are
You’re keen to collaborate with colleagues and help make everyone’s job easier by optimising the current data landscape and reporting systems. You readily ask critical questions and can find solutions independently. Most importantly, you’re enthusiastic, eager to learn, and ready to take on challenges. You currently reside in the Netherlands. While English is the official workplace language at NN Bank, speaking Dutch would be an advantage. Additionally, you have:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven experience with implementing applications and setting up new connections, ideally in the financial industry
- Knowledge of OneSumX and a keen interest in Regulatory Reporting
- Database experience, especially SQL-query skills
- Programming knowledge (Python, VBA, C# or Java). Basic knowledge of Power BI and Agile methodology would be helpful
Please apply even if you’re not sure you meet all our criteria. We are always interested in meeting candidates with unique talents.
Who you will work with
You’ll join a small, experienced team that values teamwork and collaborates closely within and beyond our Regulatory Reporting chain. The Regulatory Reporting Department at NN Bank ensures compliance with financial and operational regulations by collecting data, preparing reports, monitoring compliance and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. The team you’ll be working in manages applications related to Regulatory Reporting, automates and enhances processes within the Finance chain and ensures accurate data delivery to meet regulatory requirements set by external authorities.
We work hybrid, with two days in the office every week. Daily stand-ups and regular check-ins keep us connected, and bi-weekly sprints drive our data analysis, IT and application management efforts forward. We’re always learning from each other and value growth through development, training and continuous learning.
